Service Designer

Salary: £20,000 - 59,000 per year

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a service designer within public-sector projects.
• Strong knowledge of user-centred design and agile delivery.
• Experience working with the GDS Service Standard and assessment process.

Responsibilities:

• Lead service design activities from discovery through delivery.
• Create journey maps, service blueprints, prototypes, and design artefacts.
• Work closely with users, researchers, product managers, developers, and policy teams.
• Identify pain points and opportunities to improve end-to-end services.
• Support teams in meeting GDS standards and accessibility requirements.

We are hiring a Service Designer on a contract basis at £450 per day inside IR35. We work closely with cross-functional teams including users, researchers, product managers, developers, and policy teams, and focus on delivering accessible, user-centred public-sector services.
