Senior Security Engineer AWS Security

Salary: £63,000 - 103,000 per year

Requirements:

• Experience with AWS services or other cloud offerings
• Experience identifying security issues and risks, and developing mitigation plans
• Experience in industry-based security vulnerabilities identification, attack patterns, and remediation techniques
• Experience in scripting, programming, and security code reviewing in a common programming language
• Experience in troubleshooting systems issues, analyzing logs, or automating complex tasks using command line tools
• Experience as a mentor, tech lead, or leading an engineering team
• Experience applying threat modeling or other risk identification techniques, or equivalent
• Experience with security in service-oriented architectures/microservices and web services
• We need you to be a UK national and able to obtain and maintain a UK Government Security Clearance

Responsibilities:

• Help build and manage services that detect and automate the mitigation of cybersecurity threats across our infrastructure
• Work with data scientists, software development engineers, and other security engineers across multiple teams to develop innovative security solutions
• Protect our cloud for all customers and preserve customer trust
• Use the full power and breadth of AWS technologies to build services that proactively protect customers from security threats
• Work with UK customers to operate and continuously improve industry-leading security programs and processes
• Manage the underlying security programs and processes for personnel security, physical and logical accreditations, education, awareness and training, assurance, and cyber security
• Interact with senior stakeholders, including CISOs, CTOs, their staffs, and our senior leadership
• Mentor junior engineers, data scientists, and engineers from non-traditional backgrounds through one-on-one mentoring and code reviews
