Senior Product Designer

Salary: £61,000 - 101,000 per year

Requirements:

• Experienced end-to-end product designer with a track record of delivering thoughtful, high-quality mobile experiences from ambiguity through release
• Strong product thinking: able to frame problems, connect design decisions to user and business outcomes, and think in systems as well as screens
• Commercially fluent, with experience or ability designing fair, well-crafted monetisation experiences
• Comfortable working in a lean, fast-moving team and making pragmatic decisions within constraints
• Comfortable in an experiment-driven environment, designing for A/B tests, iterating on results, and reasoning under uncertainty
• Strong visual and interaction design craft, with polished, considered work and a rigorous, intentional design process
• Fluent in Figma and modern prototyping tools
• Grounded in inclusive design principles and accessibility standards, with a global mindset
• Curious about AIs role in product experiences and able to apply AI tools with ethical care
• Takes ownership, communicates proactively, and builds trust with cross-functional partners
• Typically 5–8 years of experience; we also welcome candidates with alternative backgrounds demonstrating equivalent skills

Responsibilities:

• Own end-to-end design across multiple Badoo surfaces, from discovery and problem framing through interaction design, visual polish, and delivery
• Design experiences that balance member value and commercial impact, including paywalls, consumables, and subscription flows
• Design for experimentation, developing clear hypotheses and guardrails, iterating on tests, and learning from results
• Contribute patterns and components to modernise Badoos design system and improve consistency and quality
• Collaborate with product managers, user researchers, data scientists, and engineers to frame problems, validate hypotheses, synthesise insights, and evolve designs based on evidence
• Prioritise member and business outcomes, make trade-offs explicit, and ship pragmatically within a lean team
• Design for a diverse global audience across markets, languages, and devices, accounting for evolving platform and compliance requirements
• Apply AI-powered tools and methods to accelerate exploration, improve accessibility, and personalise experiences responsibly
• Give and receive thoughtful, precise design critique and help uphold high craft standards
