Job Description

Salary: £65,000 - 105,000 per year

Requirements:
  • Experience in one or more of the following areas: incident handling and response; computer forensic analysis; systems administration; network forensic analysis; malware analysis; incident remediation; network operations and architecture or engineering; or programming and scripting.
  • Incident handling experience investigating targeted threats such as advanced persistent threats, organized crime, and hacktivists.
  • Knowledge of forensic analysis tools, system internals, network protocols and analysis tools, secure network architecture, and network operations, as relevant to the candidates area of experience.
  • Ability to conduct static and dynamic malware analysis and develop tactical and strategic remediation plans for compromised organizations, as relevant to the candidates area of experience.
  • Programming or scripting experience in languages such as PowerShell, C, C#, VB, Python, Perl, Ruby on Rails, or .NET.
  • BA or BS, or MA or MS, in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Math, Information Security, Information Assurance, Information Security Management, Intelligence Studies, Cybersecurity, Cybersecurity Policy, or a related field.
  • Bonus: 4–6 years of relevant incident handling experience and at least one relevant security certification.
  • Strong verbal and written communication, problem-solving, and time-management skills, including the ability to multitask.
  • Strong experience with Mac OS, Windows, and Unix operating systems.
  • Ability to handle high-pressure situations productively and professionally.
Responsibilities:
  • Monitor and conduct in-depth analysis of security alerts.
  • Handle incidents across Windows, Mac, and Linux platforms.
  • Perform malware analysis and remotely remediate malware or other malicious activity.
  • Develop and improve incident detection, triage, and countermeasure execution processes.
  • Communicate findings and recommendations to customer management in writing and verbally.
  • Demonstrate industry thought leadership through blog posts, CrowdCasts, and other public speaking events.
  • Manage internal programs or teams.
  • Serve as a technical escalation point and mentor for lower-level analysts.
  • Oversee and provide quality assurance for issues handled by lower-level analysts.
  • Help advance security processes and procedures.
