Managed IT Services Field Engineer

Salary: £24,000 - 63,000 per year

Requirements:

• 5+ years of experience in IT support, service desk, or field support engineering
• Strong knowledge of Windows OS, Office 365, Active Directory, and networking fundamentals
• Experience with onsite IT setup, troubleshooting, and hardware installation
• Ability to work independently while managing multiple audit and support tasks
• Excellent documentation and communication skills
• Willingness to travel to different sites; valid drivers license required
• Familiarity with IT asset management tools is desirable
• Degree or diploma in IT, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent experience
• Basic knowledge of network diagrams, patch panels, and structured cabling standards is desirable
• CompTIA A+, Microsoft Modern Desktop Admin, ITIL Foundation, or CCNA certifications are a plus
• Ability to lift IT hardware such as PCs, monitors, and routers
• Comfortable working in network/server rooms and running cable assessments
• Combination of office work and on-site inspections, with occasional after-hours work during upgrades or audit tasks

Responsibilities:

• Assess, document, and optimize IT infrastructure across our customer base through site auditing
• Provide onsite IT support and troubleshoot hardware and software issues
• Ensure systems comply with organizational standards and best practices
• Carry out onsite IT setup and hardware installation
• Conduct site inspections at branches, warehouses, and other customer locations
• Perform cable assessments and work in network/server rooms as needed
• Support audit and upgrade tasks, including occasional after-hours work
