IT Consultant

Salary: £30,000 - 40,000 per year

Responsibilities:

• Work as an IT Consultant in partnership with our internal Account Managers, Technical Engineers, and customers.
• Advise customers on how to use our technology stack and services to deliver transformation or overcome problems.
• Improve the structure and efficiency of IT systems across various organisations.
• Provide strategic guidance on technology and IT infrastructure.
• Support major business processes through enhancements to IT.
• Provide guidance and technical expertise during selection, procurement, user training, and feedback processes.
• Carry out IT and Cyber Security audits.
• Lead the management and coordination of a selection of IT support sites.
• Provide system audits.
• Provide IT solutions and pre-sales technical support to internal Account Managers and customers.
• Provide IT strategy, architecture, and cyber security consultancy.
• Specify projects, manage delivery with the technical project team, and hand over to support engineers.
• Work with clients to determine requirements and define project scope.
• Travel to customer meetings, mostly local, for project work or sales support.
• Liaise with staff at all levels of a client organisation.
• Analyse IT requirements and give independent and objective advice on the use of IT.
• Prepare documentation and present progress reports to customers.
• Assist with project plans, topology designs, system architecture, proposals, RFQs, and tenders.
• Support sales and customer organisations where appropriate.
• Mentor customers on security awareness and safety.
• Provide risk assessments and security reviews.
