Infrastructure Support Specialist

Salary: £43,000 - 75,000 per year

Requirements:

• We are looking for someone with experience working in an IT infrastructure support or engineering role.
• You have good knowledge of Windows Server environments and enterprise infrastructure technologies.
• You understand networking concepts including switching, VLANs, DNS, DHCP, and VPN technologies.
• You have experience supporting virtualisation platforms such as VMware or Hyper-V.
• You have experience supporting Microsoft 365 and related technologies.
• You have strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• You have experience working within an IT service management environment.
• You are able to prioritise workloads and manage multiple tasks effectively.
• You have good communication and customer service skills.

Responsibilities:

• We configure, maintain, monitor, and troubleshoot servers, networks, storage systems, and other infrastructure components.
• We provide 2nd/3rd line infrastructure support for escalated technical issues.
• We assist with infrastructure upgrades, deployments, and improvement projects.
• We support server, network, and endpoint maintenance activities.
• We monitor infrastructure performance, availability, and security.
• We assist with patching, system updates, and vulnerability remediation activities.
• We maintain accurate technical documentation and support procedures.
• We support backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity processes.
• We work with third-party vendors and support providers when required.
• We help implement infrastructure standards, security controls, and best practices.
• We support continuous improvement initiatives to improve reliability, performance, and user experience.
• We participate in infrastructure-related project delivery activities.
• We escalate risks, recurring issues, or service concerns appropriately.
