Infrastructure Cloud Engineer

Salary: £50,000 - 70,000 per year

Requirements:

• Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure
• Experience supporting enterprise infrastructure environments
• Knowledge of cloud security and governance best practices
• Experience with infrastructure automation and scripting
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Good understanding of networking principles including DNS, VPNs and virtual networking
• Experience supporting Windows and/or Linux server environments
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
• Experience with Azure Landing Zones would be advantageous
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code would be advantageous
• Experience with Fortinet technologies would be advantageous
• Experience with PowerShell, Python or Bash scripting would be advantageous
• Experience with Azure Monitor and cloud monitoring tools would be advantageous
• Experience in multi-site or international enterprise environments would be advantageous

Responsibilities:

• Design and support Microsoft Azure cloud environments
• Build highly available, scalable and secure infrastructure platforms
• Implement Infrastructure as Code and automation solutions
• Manage cloud networking, security, identity and access management
• Monitor system performance, availability and reliability
• Support disaster recovery, backup and business continuity planning
• Drive security improvements and cloud governance initiatives
• Optimise cloud spend and infrastructure performance
• Produce technical documentation, standards and operational procedures
• Collaborate with infrastructure, operations and security teams on strategic projects
