Informatica Engineer

Requirements:

• We require active SC clearance; we cannot accept candidates without it.
• We need strong commercial experience with Informatica PowerCenter and/or Informatica Intelligent Cloud Services (IICS).
• We need proven experience designing and developing ETL and data integration solutions.
• We need strong SQL skills and experience with relational databases such as Oracle, SQL Server, or PostgreSQL.
• We need experience with data migration, data warehousing, and data quality processes.
• We need an understanding of data modelling principles and metadata management.
• We need experience working in agile delivery environments.
• We need excellent problem-solving and stakeholder management skills.
• Desirable: experience within Central Government, Defence, Policing, Healthcare, or wider Public Sector organisations.
• Desirable: knowledge of cloud platforms such as Azure or AWS.
• Desirable: experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
• Desirable: familiarity with data governance frameworks and Master Data Management (MDM).
• Desirable: knowledge of Python, scripting, or API integrations.

Responsibilities:

• We design, develop, and maintain ETL processes using Informatica PowerCenter, IICS, or related Informatica technologies.
• We build and optimise data integration solutions across multiple source systems and data platforms.
• We support data migration, transformation, and cleansing activities.
• We develop and maintain technical documentation, including data mappings and solution designs.
• We troubleshoot and resolve production issues, ensuring service stability and performance.
• We collaborate with architects, business analysts, developers, and data teams to deliver project objectives.
• We perform code reviews and promote best practices in ETL development and data quality.
• We ensure our solutions comply with security, governance, and data management standards.
• We support testing activities, including system integration testing and user acceptance testing.

We are a known organisation offering a 6-month rolling contract for an Informatica Engineer with active SC clearance. The role is fully remote and pays £600 per day inside IR35. We are working with a specialist recruitment partner on this opportunity.
