Identity Engineer

Salary: £58,000 - 98,000 per year

Requirements:

• Bachelors or masters degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum 5+ years of experience in software engineering with a focus on backend development.
• In-depth knowledge of GCP services, architecture, and best practices.
• Proven experience in designing and building secure and scalable distributed systems.
• Strong understanding of security principles and best practices, including secure coding and threat modeling.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Terraform DevOps experience with 5 years in GCP is mandatory, and the ability to work independently.
• GoLand DevOps experience with 4 years is mandatory.
• Google Cloud certifications such as Google Cloud Certified - Professional Cloud Architect or Google Cloud Certified - Professional Data Engineer are preferred.
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum development methodologies is preferred.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices is preferred.
• Experience with Google Identity and containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes is a plus.
• Knowledge of identity management protocols such as SAML, OIDC, and OAuth is a plus.

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and implement core functionalities of Googles platform.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, product, and security, to understand user needs and translate them into technical requirements.
• Work on integrating Googles identity solutions using industry standards like SAML, OIDC, and OAuth.
• Implement strong security measures to protect user data and prevent unauthorized access.
• Actively participate in code reviews, identify potential issues, and suggest improvements.
• Contribute to the development and documentation of technical specifications and design decisions.
• Troubleshoot technical issues, conduct root cause analysis, and implement timely resolutions to minimize downtime.
• Architect solutions and ensure seamless integration with existing systems and processes.
• Design, implement, and scale systems that enable secure and seamless user authentication across various platforms and applications.
