Embedded Software Engineer
Job Description
Salary: £111,320 - 145,600 per year
Requirements:- We are looking for an Embedded Software Engineer with strong C/C++ skills and bare-metal embedded development experience. You should have knowledge of requirements tools such as DOORS, as well as configuration management systems like Git or RTC. Unit testing experience with tools such as LDRA or RAPITA is essential. Familiarity with high-integrity software standards, particularly DO178C Level B or SIL-4, is also required. It is desirable to have experience with defence standards, microcontrollers, hardware testing, and virtual environments, as well as knowledge of RAPITA, Ansys SCADE, or ALM tools like JIRA or IBM EWM.
- In this hands-on role, you will develop, test, and verify embedded real-time software for safety-critical missile systems. You will be responsible for producing and maintaining specifications, as well as design and test documentation. Debugging complex issues and ensuring compliance with safety standards will be key aspects of your position. You will work in a lab environment with live hardware and collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams to ensure the success of your projects.

This position is based in Stevenage, UK, on a 6-month contract. We offer a competitive rate of £53.51/hour PAYE (£61.29/hour including holiday) or £70/hour Umbrella. We seek candidates with recent experience in high-integrity or safety-critical industries, such as defence or aerospace, and who are eligible for UK security clearance.
