DV Cleared Data Engineers Wanted - Mid to Senior AWS Data Platforms - Bristol

Salary: £55,000 - 80,000 per year

Requirements:

• Active DV Clearance, already held
• Mid to senior level data engineering experience
• Hands-on experience with AWS
• Solid understanding of modern data patterns, including lakehouse, medallion, and streaming
• Experience building pipelines and platform components at scale
• Comfortable working with architects, clients, and other engineers
• Practical mindset with the ability to make sensible trade-offs rather than over-engineering

Responsibilities:

• Build and maintain data pipelines end-to-end, from ingestion through to consumption
• Work with modern approaches such as lakehouse and medallion architectures (Bronze, Silver, Gold)
• Build both batch and streaming pipelines depending on the use case
• Contribute to decisions around storage, orchestration, governance, and security
• Work with data architects and stakeholders to turn business requirements into technical builds
• Operate in secure, regulated environments with attention to detail and sound judgement

We are a successful multinational tech consultancy that has secured a number of long-term client programmes and is expanding our team with several DV Cleared Data Engineers from mid to senior level. This is a hands-on engineering role across secure, high-impact programmes where you will build and own the pipelines and platforms underpinning complex client work. Our tech environment is AWS-focused and includes services such as S3, Glue, Redshift, Lake Formation, and Kinesis, alongside Databricks and Snowflake on AWS, Spark, and streaming technologies such as Kinesis or Kafka. The role is hybrid, based in Bristol, Manchester, London, or Belfast, with two days a week in the office. The salary is £55,000 to £80,000 plus bonus and benefits.
