Job Description

Salary: £70,000 - 110,000 per year

Requirements:
  • Strong grounding in probability and statistics, with an understanding of Bayesian reasoning and experience applying hierarchical modelling or decision-making under uncertainty.
  • Experience separating signal from noise in observational and experimental data.
  • Ability to understand commercial context and translate data into actionable insights that guide decisions.
  • Proficiency with data manipulation and modelling tools.
  • Comfortable owning ambiguous problems end-to-end, from framing through modelling to influencing decisions.
  • Experience with and a passion for using AI to accelerate and automate analysis and model building.
  • Clear written and verbal communication, with the ability to adapt technical detail to different audiences.
  • Experience building or adapting statistical or machine learning models, with an interest in understanding whats happening underneath.
  • Familiarity with stochastic modelling concepts as they apply to inference, time series, or uncertainty.
  • Experience with conversion funnel analysis or marketplace dynamics where attention is competed for alongside competitors.
  • Experience working primarily in Python, or another language such as R with willingness to use Python day to day.
  • Interest in understanding how the partner lending market works and what drives conversion and partner choice.
Responsibilities:
  • Design and analyse experiments across the partner funnel.
  • Model customer behaviour and analyse large data sets.
  • Turn findings into product and strategy decisions.
  • Influence how the analytical approach develops, not just what it produces.
  • Work on experiments and causal inference, including situations where standard A/B testing is not enough.
  • Measure how pre-qualification affects customer lifetime value and understand how different products interact for the same customer base.
  • Analyse the full partner-referred customer journey from application through to credit assessment.
  • Identify where conversion breaks down and why.
  • Work out what makes customers choose us over competitors and how to shift those dynamics in our favour.
  • Work closely with commercial, strategy, product, and adjacent teams to ensure tests and policies fit together.
  • Use AI to accelerate and automate analytical work.
  • Contribute directly to decision-making and help land analysis with people who act on it.
