Data Engineer

Salary: £43,000 - 44,000 per year

Requirements:

• Working knowledge of SQL, Python, and APIs
• Data engineering experience
• Familiarity with version control and basic development workflows
• Ability to follow instructions, ask questions, and learn from feedback
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to data quality

Responsibilities:

• Support data-driven insight and analytics by developing and maintaining data pipelines from a range of source systems
• Work closely with operational users to examine current systems and develop automated reporting that provides business information linked to business KPIs
• Tailor reporting for various levels to improve visibility
• Implement data quality checks and validation within pipelines
• Ensure datasets adhere to agreed governance, security, and access control standards
• Apply data engineering standards for version control, documentation, and testing
• Present data in an accessible format using Power BI or another appropriate platform
