Data Analytics Engineer

Salary: £60,000 - 70,000 per year

Requirements:

• Strong SQL and Python skills
• Solid understanding of Lakehouse architecture and data management principles
• Hands-on experience with Azure, including Data Factory, Databricks, Synapse, Storage, and DevOps
• Experience designing Star Schema data models for Power BI
• 5+ years of experience building data platforms in a commercial setting
• Real-time pipeline experience is desirable
• Azure Data Engineer certification is desirable
• Exposure to Kafka or other open-source tools is desirable
• Background in a regulated industry such as finance or insurance is desirable

Responsibilities:

• Design and build performant data ingestion pipelines using Apache Spark, ideally within Azure Databricks
• Contribute to our platform data modelling and architecture
• Build dashboards and semantic models, and present them directly to stakeholders
• Work across the full pipeline from source systems to target repositories, with a strong focus on data quality
• Collaborate with Data Scientists to help productionise ML pipelines
• Operate within an Agile/DevOps environment
