Commercial Product Manager - Lending

Salary: £50,000 - 50,000 per year

Requirements:

• Previous experience in a Product or Partnerships role, ideally in financial services or lending
• Experience delivering product plans with external partners and internal cross-functional teams
• A data-driven mindset and the ability to analyse performance and make product-level decisions

Responsibilities:

• Own the development and delivery of the new lending product and commercial roadmap, aligned with business goals and revenue targets
• Define and prioritise a backlog of growth initiatives
• Influence the end-to-end product lifecycle for newly launched and established lending products
• Lead cross-functional teams across Sales, Operations, Finance, Marketing, Technical and external partners to drive alignment
• Make commercial decisions on pricing, proposition and growth levers
• Act as a subject matter expert across the organisation
• Engage external partners to build market knowledge and a network
• Liaise with external product partners to deliver activity in line with agreed plans and timelines
• Manage projects to ensure initiatives are delivered on time and to a high standard
• Support the Head of Product and Proposition in initiating new product development and shaping future lending strategy
• Work with Sales, Finance, Marketing, Analytics, Legal and external lending partners on data-driven forecasting and analysis to deliver monthly and annual targets

We offer business financing to Handepay and PayPoint small-business customers to help them manage cash flow and grow. This role focuses on devising, launching and growing lending products for small businesses and mid-corporate businesses, working with third-party lending providers and internal teams. It suits an established Product Manager or Partnerships Manager, or a proactive Assistant Product Manager with 2–3 years of product experience who is ready for the next step. The salary is £40,000–£50,000 per annum, dependent on experience. Hours are Monday to Friday, 9:00am–5:15pm, 36.25 hours per week. The role is hybrid, with three days per week in the office, and can be based at our Haydock head office in Merseyside or our Welwyn Garden City office in Hertfordshire.
