Cloud Infrastructure Engineer

Salary: £50,000 - 60,000 per year

Requirements:

• 5+ years experience in cloud, infrastructure or systems engineering
• Strong hands-on Microsoft Azure experience across IaaS and PaaS
• Commercial experience with Terraform, Bicep or another Infrastructure-as-Code technology
• Experience creating and maintaining CI/CD pipelines
• Strong networking, server, storage and virtualisation knowledge
• Experience with cloud security, compliance and monitoring
• Automation or scripting experience with PowerShell, Python or similar
• Experience with containers, Azure Application Gateway, WAF, Load Balancers or Azure data services is advantageous
• Azure and/or Terraform certifications or experience are beneficial

Responsibilities:

• Design, deploy and manage Azure IaaS and PaaS services
• Build and maintain Infrastructure-as-Code using Terraform, Bicep or similar
• Develop CI/CD pipelines for infrastructure and application delivery
• Improve automation and repeatability across deployments
• Implement cloud governance, security controls and cost optimisation
• Manage Azure identity, SSO and hybrid identity services
• Monitor environments using Azure Monitor and Log Analytics
• Support security and compliance requirements
• Design and test backup and disaster recovery solutions
• Troubleshoot complex infrastructure issues and lead root-cause analysis

Were recruiting a Cloud Infrastructure Engineer to join an established organisation as we continue to develop and modernise our Microsoft Azure environment. This is a hands-on engineering role with scope to influence how cloud infrastructure is designed and delivered, working across Azure, Infrastructure-as-Code, CI/CD, automation, security and hybrid identity to support increasingly cloud-native ways of working. The role is based in the West Midlands with hybrid working, including one day on-site per week. It is full time at 37.5 hours per week, with a salary of up to £60,000.
