Atlassian Technical Engineer

Salary: £110,500 - 119,600 per year

Requirements:

• 3-5 years hands-on experience with Atlassian solution delivery and application engineering
• Proven expertise in Jira, Confluence, and Atlassian Marketplace tools
• Atlassian technical migration certifications and accreditation
• Strong knowledge of Atlassian administration, including Jira and Confluence
• Experience with Bitbucket, Bamboo, and Jira Service Management configuration
• API, scripting, and CI/CD automation skills
• Ability to communicate effectively across all levels of the organisation
• Familiarity with Agile, Scrum, DevOps, and ITIL frameworks
• Excellent communication and presentation skills
• Calmness under pressure with the ability to manage multiple priorities
• Self-motivated with a proactive approach to problem-solving
• Strong business analysis and creative thinking skills

Responsibilities:

• Managing Atlassian applications including Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket, and Bamboo
• Upgrading, migrating, and consolidating Atlassian instances
• Performing technical assessments and health checks
• Configuring Jira Service Management, including queues, SLAs, and automation
• Developing integrations via API and scripting for CI/CD automation
• Collaborating with stakeholders to define workflows, custom fields, and dashboards
• Providing technical guidance and support across teams

We are seeking an experienced Atlassian Technical Engineer for a 6-month project to help ensure the optimal configuration, maintenance, and enhancement of Atlassian tools for organisational and client needs. This is an inside IR35 hybrid role based in the Midlands, UK, with 2 days onsite each week. The position requires BPSS clearance, SC eligibility, and UK nationality with no dual nationalities. You will work with Atlassian solutions, Marketplace apps, and supporting technologies within a dynamic team, delivering impactful business solutions for a reputable organisation where your expertise will make a real impact.
