Application Developer

Salary: £75,000 - 80,000 per year

Requirements:

• Were looking for strong front-end development experience with React or a similar modern JavaScript framework.
• You should have experience building and deploying on modern web platforms such as Vercel or an equivalent.
• You should have expert-level Power BI skills, including DAX, embedding, theming, and UX.
• You should be strong in SQL and comfortable building your own data layers.
• You should have experience integrating AI or LLM outputs or agents into applications; familiarity with MCP is a strong advantage.
• You should be able to turn complex datasets into clear, story-driven interfaces.
• We value a strong visual design sense and focus on usability.
• You should be comfortable engaging directly with clients and running live demos and training.
• Experience delivering licensed or productised client-facing tools, rather than only internal dashboards, is preferred.
• Experience building and running a portal or platform in production is preferred.
• An understanding of AI agents, tool use, and governed integration patterns is preferred.
• Familiarity with customer segmentation, marketing, or commercial performance data is preferred.
• Strong communication and data storytelling skills, with the ability to adapt to different audiences, are preferred.

Responsibilities:

• Build and run our Customer Portal as the single access point to our products.
• Develop front-end applications and tools end to end, from wireframing and building through testing, deployment, operation, and iteration.
• Integrate AI outputs and agents into the portal using MCP in a governed way.
• Build embedded Power BI and analytics visualisations using DAX and SQL, with a strong focus on user experience.
• Deploy and manage the portal on a modern web stack such as Vercel, keeping it reliable in production.
• Turn complex analytics into clear, intuitive interfaces that support better decisions.
• Run client demos, walkthroughs, and training to drive adoption.
• Partner with our data science, data engineering, and architecture teams.
• Track usage and iterate on design based on real client feedback.
