Senior Data Analyst

Salary: £55,000 - 95,000 per year

Requirements:

• Advanced SQL skills, including optimized and maintainable queries using complex joins, CTEs, and window functions.
• Experience with dbt for data modeling, medallion architecture, testing, and documentation.
• Hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform, especially BigQuery.
• Experience with Git version control and collaborative development practices.
• Ability to translate business requirements into well-structured, scalable data models.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical thinking, with a focus on clarity and impact.
• Good communication skills, including the ability to simplify technical topics and engage with stakeholders across business functions.
• A proactive mindset, with the ability to manage priorities, document work clearly, and drive outcomes independently.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with Data, Tech, and Business teams to solve business problems through data, from understanding requirements to delivering analytical solutions.
• Translate business needs into clear, scalable data models and a semantic layer aligned with our long-term platform design and methodologies.
• Build and maintain data transformations and models in dbt, supporting consistency, quality, and reusability in our BigQuery environment.
• Deliver analytical insights and self-service data products, including reports, KPIs, and dashboards.
• Identify, collect, transform, and model data from multiple sources for analytical use, following layered architecture principles.
• Promote best practices in data development, version control, and documentation using Git and CI/CD workflows.
• Identify data quality issues, operational risks, and growth opportunities, and make data-driven recommendations that influence priorities.
• Communicate insights to technical and non-technical audiences, including senior stakeholders, to support business alignment and adoption.
• Share knowledge, participate in peer reviews, and mentor colleagues when needed.
