Software Engineer - Java

Salary: £65,000 - 105,000 per year

Requirements:

• Experience programming with Java
• Understanding of object-oriented design principles and software engineering best practices
• Experience working with source control systems such as Git
• Experience working within Agile development teams
• Understanding of automated testing and quality engineering practices
• Desirable: Experience developing APIs and backend services
• Desirable: Knowledge of cloud technologies and modern application architectures
• Desirable: Familiarity with CI/CD tooling and DevOps practices
• Desirable: Experience working with relational databases
• Desirable: Experience working with enterprise-scale applications

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain software primarily using Java
• Build new features and enhance existing capabilities within our decisioning platforms
• Work with Product Owners, Engineers, Architects, and other stakeholders to deliver high-quality solutions
• Contribute to the full software development lifecycle, from design through deployment and support
• Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code
• Participate in code reviews and technical discussions
• Investigate and resolve production issues when required
• Support continuous improvement across our engineering practices, tooling, and processes
