  • Experience monitoring and supporting production, mission-critical market data systems.
  • Familiarity with the FIX protocol and a strong understanding of order lifecycle workflows.
  • Proficiency with Linux and Windows, and general comfort with SQL.
  • Good judgment about when to make decisions and when to escalate.

  • Experience mentoring or coaching less experienced colleagues.
Responsibilities:
  • Lead investigations of complex platform issues using log analysis, data validation, API and FIX behaviour analysis, and SQL- and UNIX-based diagnostics.
  • Own escalated cases through resolution and distinguish customer misuse from platform defects.
  • Coordinate incident management across teams, conduct post-incident reviews, drive severity classification, and track resulting actions to closure.
  • Participate in P1, P2, and Code Red events, leading them when Tier 3 coverage is unavailable.
  • Handle advanced customer conversations and validate customer-facing explanations before they are sent.
  • Support Data Vantage business teams with data and order-type behaviour requests, and assist third-party clients with configuration and troubleshooting.
  • Support Data Vantage product management and carry out defined legal, regulatory, and compliance duties.
  • Conduct data mining and research using SQL, a UNIX shell, and our proprietary tools.
  • Perform daily system startup, shutdown, and health checks across production, certification, and disaster recovery environments; monitor dashboards, alerts, scheduled jobs, and database health.
  • Create and maintain runbooks, job aids, and technical procedures, and draft technical notices and specification updates.
