Security Analyst Placement Programme

Salary: £26,000 - 26,000 per year

Requirements:

• You are studying in the second year of a cyber or technical degree that includes a year in industry, and are eager to start a placement in July 2027.
• You are able to work from our Bristol office at least three days a week and travel to London occasionally.
• You are curious about how technology works, what can go wrong, and how organisations can protect themselves.
• You are eager to build your cyber security knowledge, enjoy solving problems and analysing information, and are comfortable asking questions and using what you learn to make informed decisions.
• You enjoy working with people from technical and non-technical backgrounds, listening to different perspectives, sharing ideas and helping create an inclusive team.
• You have a genuine interest in cyber security and enthusiasm to learn, explore and get involved.

Responsibilities:

• Over the 12-month placement, experience different roles across our Security team and explore areas of cyber security that interest you.
• Work alongside experienced security professionals, build skills and gain practical experience across different types of security work.
• Support work across areas such as application security, cloud security, identity and access management, security operations, IT continuity, vulnerability management, threat modelling and security testing, risk and governance, and security projects and improvement activities.
• Help identify and track security vulnerabilities, understand the risks they present, and work with teams as they address them.
• Support security specialists in assessing potential risks in new systems and services and considering how those risks can be reduced.
• Contribute to meaningful team work and security projects that support our goals and deliver value for our customers.
• Work with other students to lead a project that creates positive impact.
• Develop your knowledge and skills through mentoring, learning sessions and events.

We employ more than 1,800 people across London, Bristol, Edinburgh and Coalville, and operate hybrid working, with flexibility to work remotely up to two days per week. This role is based in Bristol, with occasional travel to London.
