Java Full Stack Developer

Salary: £104,000 - 104,000 per year

Requirements:

• Strong experience in Java 11/17, Spring Boot, Spring MVC, and Spring Data JPA
• Expertise in microservices architecture
• Hands-on experience with Apache Kafka
• Experience deploying applications on Kubernetes
• Strong knowledge of API authentication and authorization, including OAuth 2.0, JWT, OpenID Connect, and API gateway concepts
• Experience with observability and monitoring tools such as Grafana, Prometheus, Splunk, ELK Stack, Dynatrace, or AppDynamics
• Strong understanding of bean management and dependency injection using Spring Framework
• SQL database experience with Oracle, PostgreSQL, SQL Server, or MySQL
• Strong debugging and performance tuning skills
• Experience with Git, Maven, Jenkins, and CI/CD pipelines
• 8 years of software development experience
• Minimum 8 years of hands-on experience with Java microservices development
• Nice to have: AWS or Azure cloud experience
• Nice to have: Docker containerization
• Nice to have: NoSQL databases such as MongoDB
• Nice to have: Frontend experience with Angular or React
• Nice to have: Exposure to banking, financial services, or payments domain

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable Java-based applications using Java 17, Spring Boot, and microservices architecture
• Develop and consume RESTful APIs while implementing robust authentication and authorization mechanisms
• Build event-driven solutions using Apache Kafka for real-time data processing and messaging
• Deploy, manage, and troubleshoot applications on Kubernetes environments
• Implement observability solutions using tools such as Splunk, ELK, Grafana, Prometheus, Dynatrace, or AppDynamics
• Optimize application performance, scalability, and reliability
• Work closely with business stakeholders, architects, QA teams, and DevOps engineers throughout the SDLC
• Ensure code quality through unit testing, code reviews, and CI/CD best practices
• Develop database solutions, write complex SQL queries, and optimize database performance
• Follow secure coding practices and enterprise API security standards
