Cloud Engineer - Leeds

Salary: £61,000 - 101,000 per year

Requirements:

• We are looking for an experienced AWS Developer.
• We expect substantial experience in AWS and in solving complex business issues.
• We would regard the right candidate as an AWS subject matter expert.
• We need demonstrable expertise with AWS services such as EC2, ECS, EKS, S3, Lambda, RDS, KMS, ELB, SNS, SQS, and IAM.
• We value scripting ability with languages such as Shell, Bash, or Python.
• We expect good coding experience in at least one Lambda-compatible language.
• We need proficiency in Infrastructure as Code technologies such as CloudFormation, CDK, or Terraform.
• We expect experience using version control systems such as Git, Mercurial, or Perforce.
• We value strong communication and problem-solving skills, along with a desire to learn new technologies.
• We expect experience working in an Agile environment such as Scrum, Kanban, SAFe, or XP.
• It would be great if you also have AWS certification at Associate level, such as Solution Architect, Developer, or DevOps.
• It would be great if you also have expertise in microservices and API design.
• It would be great if you also have experience with Docker and container runtime platforms such as Kubernetes, EKS, or ECS.
• It would be great if you also have a strong understanding of operational concepts on AWS, particularly monitoring, observability, and FinOps.
• It would be great if you also have experience using CI/CD tools such as Bamboo, Jenkins, TeamCity, or Bitbucket.
• It would be great if you also have experience with automated testing frameworks.
• It would be great if you also have a working knowledge of Linux, networking, routing, and firewalls.
• Security clearance is required for this vacancy, and you must be eligible and willing to go through the process.
