Data Engineer (Palantir Foundry)

Salary: £75,000 - 80,000 per year

Requirements:

• Strong hands-on expertise in Palantir Foundry
• Experience with data engineering and building scalable data pipelines
• Experience with data modelling, schema design, semantic layers, metadata management, and governance
• Experience implementing batch, incremental, and streaming ETL/ELT workflows
• Experience with automated testing, CI/CD patterns, and deployment best practices for data assets
• Technical skills in Python, SQL, PySpark, and Spark SQL
• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP
• Experience with Git-based workflows
• Ability to work closely with data scientists, data analysts, product teams, and stakeholders

Responsibilities:

• Design and build scalable data pipelines, semantic models, and data products using Palantir Foundry
• Work closely with data scientists, data analysts, product teams, and stakeholders to deliver robust, production-grade data foundations
• Design, develop, and maintain end-to-end data pipelines using Palantir Foundry tools including Pipeline Builder, Code Repositories, Data Lineage, Ontology, Workshop, and Quiver
• Implement batch, incremental, and streaming ETL/ELT workflows with reusable, production-ready components
• Carry out data modelling, schema design, and build data products, semantic layers, metadata management, and governance
• Design and maintain Foundry ontologies, including object types, link types, property types, and semantic relationships
• Support Foundry Workshop apps, dashboards, and end-user analytical experiences
• Implement automated testing, CI/CD patterns, and deployment best practices for Foundry-based data assets

We are a leading global IT transformation team delivering large-scale Government projects. This is a permanent Data Engineer role based in Leeds with hybrid working, including remote working from home and occasional travel into the Leeds office. The role starts ASAP in September/October 2026 and offers a salary of £75,000 to £80,000 DOE plus benefits including remote/hybrid working, pension, 22 days holiday plus bank holidays rising to 25 days, death in service, health care plan, and more.
