CMDB Application Developer & Reporting Specialist

Salary: £48,000 - 88,000 per year

Requirements:

• 3 years application development experience.
• Strong database design and SQL knowledge.
• Experience with REST API integration and data modelling.
• Dashboard, reporting and KPI development experience.
• Knowledge of CMDB, ITIL and Configuration Management processes.
• Experience working within enterprise-scale IT environments.
• Strong analytical, communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Active SC Clearance and sole UK nationality.

Responsibilities:

• We design, develop and maintain CMDB applications and workflows.
• We create user-friendly interfaces for Configuration Item (CI) management.
• We integrate infrastructure, asset, application and service data through APIs and automated processes.
• We develop CMDB data models, service mapping capabilities, and governance controls.
• We ensure CMDB data accuracy, completeness and compliance.
• We build executive and operational dashboards using modern reporting tools.
• We develop KPI, SLA and performance reporting frameworks.
• We implement automated notifications, reporting schedules and exception management.
• We support continuous service improvement through analytic and automation.

We are seeking a CMDB Application Developer & Reporting Specialist to support a major Defence customer by developing and maintaining a centralised CMDB solution that underpins critical IT Service Management and Digital Workplace services. The role is based in Stevenage with 5 days on site and is inside IR35.
