RPG Analyst Programmer

Salary: £58,000 - 98,000 per year

Requirements:

• We require an RPG4/400 Analyst Programmer with at least 5 to 8 years of experience developing with RPG and at least 5 years of experience with Misys Equation.
• We require strong experience in analyzing issues related to in-house systems, including Misys Equation end-of-day cycle and Equation interfaces.
• We require the ability to understand business requirements and deliver solutions based on system definition documents.
• We require proficiency in 4GL and 3GL programming languages and the ability to apply them across the full development life cycle.
• We require high proficiency in RPG programming and Equation APIs.
• We require in-depth knowledge of the Equation environment.
• We require experience building in-house reports in RPG.
• We require experience maintaining in-house programs in the Equation end-of-day cycle.
• We require the ability to analyze and rectify problems independently and in a team environment.
• We require ownership of issues and timely delivery of solutions.
• We require degree-level qualification or equivalent.
• We require experience with SQL programming, RPG, and CL programming.
• We require software analysis and design skills.
• We require knowledge of SQL query language, Equation APIs, and system modules.
• C# development experience would be very useful.

Responsibilities:

• We act as the first point of contact for issues with the Equation end-of-day cycle, including out-of-hours support.
• We provide second- and third-level support for in-house programs during the end-of-day cycle.
• We analyze and rectify problems raised in independent and team scenarios.
• We build in-house reports in RPG.
• We maintain all in-house programs in the Equation end-of-day cycle.
• We support the Swift environment during periods of staff absence.
• We support the AML system by completing daily processes such as fault finding and daily backups.
• We maintain and develop ESSBASE.
• We occasionally expand dimensions within the database cube, including change, testing, and sign-off.
• We fulfill all prescribed business continuity requirements as set out in organizational or departmental plans or as instructed by our line manager or Head of Department.
