Job Description

Salary: £45,000 - 80,000 per year

Requirements:
  • Hands-on experience with design or verification methodology, including deep understanding of RTL design, interfaces between RTL, testbench and Verification IP, and debugging compile and simulation issues.
  • Experience with EDA vendor tooling and domain knowledge of at least one of the three major EDA vendor toolsets.
  • Practical experience using AI for engineering automation, including prompt design and iteration, structured outputs, and tool use.
  • Strong problem-solving ability to quickly diagnose issues in real environments and drive resolution across teams.
  • Clear written communication skills to turn ambiguous conversations into requirements and actionable plans.
  • Strong scripting ability in at least one language, with Python preferred.
  • Ability to integrate and orchestrate tools, including parsing logs and reports, running flows, and collecting results.
  • Experience in an Application Engineer or internal customer-facing role where user needs were translated into working solutions.
  • Familiarity with agentic workflows, skills, and tool-calling patterns.
Responsibilities:
  • Contribute hands-on to the development of AI-based solutions for Hardware Design and Verification automation.
  • Curate and develop solutions based on OpenAI Codex skills and tool integrations, including simulation flows, log analysis, and code review or refactor support.
  • Collaborate with our Engineering teams to capture real engineering struggles and turn them into clear requirements.
  • Build quick prototypes and evaluate EDA AI tools to validate feasibility and quantify impact.
  • Drive adoption as a change leader by running demos and workshops, contributing onboarding guides, and identifying and removing adoption blockers.
