Market Data Analyst Python SQL

Salary: £40,000 - 70,000 per year

Requirements:

• Outstanding academic achievement, including a 1.1 or first-class degree in Computer Science or a closely related discipline from a top-tier university (such as a Russell Group or top 100 global university), backed by A grades at A-level
• Commercial experience in a Market Data role within a Hedge Fund, Investment Bank, Asset Manager, or Financial Services environment
• Strong knowledge of market data vendors and services such as Bloomberg, Refinitiv, or similar platforms
• Strong Python and SQL programming skills, with experience automating processes and analysing financial data
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen eye for data quality and accuracy
• Collaborative approach with excellent communication skills, comfortable working closely with traders, investment professionals, and technology teams

Responsibilities:

• Become the subject matter expert for market data across multiple asset classes
• Work closely with traders, technologists, and quantitative teams to ensure the timely delivery, integrity, and optimisation of critical financial data
• Support enterprise market data platforms such as Bloomberg
• Deliver automation, analytics, and strategic projects using Python and SQL
• Identify improvements, lead initiatives, and develop specialist expertise in areas of interest
