Job Description

Salary: £24,000 - 52,000 per year

Requirements:
  • An enterprising mindset and self-motivation to be successful.
  • A proven track record in advising clients on responding to cyber security incidents.
  • Experience of building and sustaining your own work in this space, ideally with contacts within the cyber insurance market.
  • Exceptional client management skills, including supporting clients in difficult and time-sensitive situations.
  • An external profile as a leader in this field with an in-depth sector and market understanding and awareness of the impact of trends on clients.
  • A commitment to developing and nurturing the talent of junior lawyers.
  • An understanding of how legal services should be delivered at a top 20 law firm, including revenue prioritisation, a commercial mindset, and effective and efficient matter management.
  • We must be an admitted lawyer in the UK or a similar jurisdiction.
Responsibilities:
  • Join our growing digital team as a Partner focused on cyber-related advice to our client base, including insurers and companies.
  • Help grow and shape our cyber practice in the UK.
  • Help develop international opportunities arising from our US footprint and Lex Mundi relationships.
  • Leverage our connections in the insurance market.
  • Provide advice across the cyber lifecycle, including regulatory and compliance advice, breach counsel on critical incidents, post-incident support, defence of regulatory enforcement action, compensation claims, cyber coverage, policy wordings, and insurance claim handling.
  • Support clients facing highly pressured and time-sensitive cyber incidents and breaches.
  • Own, develop, and grow a team in this important area.
  • Market and grow our cyber practice with support from our existing digital, privacy, and insurance teams.
  • Develop and nurture junior lawyers.
