Senior Engine Programmer
Job Description
Salary: £135,000 - 175,000 per year
Requirements:- We are looking for strong C++ skills and experience working in a large native codebase.
- We are looking for experience building user-facing tools, editor features, and complex interactive workflows.
- We are looking for experience building clients that interact with asynchronous or networked services.
- We are looking for a strong understanding of parallelism, networking, latency, and failure handling.
- We are looking for a strong eye for user experience and how technical behavior affects creator workflows.
- We are looking for experience working closely with Product, UX, and engineering teams to ship features.
- We are looking for experience with Unreal Engine, another game engine, or comparable tools development.
- Experience with Rust is a plus.
- Build Unreal Editor features that bring cloud-based collaboration into everyday creator workflows.
- Implement responsive editor experiences that interact with asynchronous and distributed services.
- Work across editor, networking, storage, revision control, and UX systems to make cloud-backed workflows feel natural to Unreal Engine.
- Partner with Product and UX teams to turn product ideas into clear, practical, and polished editor experiences.
- Collaborate with backend and infrastructure engineers on features that span the editor and cloud services.
- Use modern development practices, including AI-assisted programming, to improve implementation, debugging, and iteration.
