C# Developer - Equity Derivatives Technology Risk (AVP)

Salary: £62,000 - 102,000 per year

Requirements:

• Strong C# knowledge with exposure to .Net Framework 4.5.2+ and .Net 5+
• Good understanding of algorithms, system design and architecture, design patterns, implementation, and unit testing
• Experience in a developer role on large and complex projects
• Understanding of .Net performance analysis and optimization approaches
• Ability to write comprehensive unit tests using frameworks such as NUnit, xUnit, Shouldly, or equivalents
• Familiarity with web technologies including OpenAPI/Swagger, REST, authentication, and TLS
• Experience or familiarity with high-volume, low-latency, highly available financial systems, trading platforms, or financial data processing
• Broad technical experience with exposure to languages such as Python, Java, and Bash, as well as operating systems such as Linux
• Experience with version control and CI/CD tools such as Git and GitLab/GitHub
• Understanding of messaging technologies such as Kafka, RabbitMQ, or Solace
• Strong understanding of design patterns and how to use them to solve complex technical problems
• Proven ability to work with development team members and other partners with minimal supervision
• Strong verbal and written communication skills and excellent interpersonal skills
• Ability to learn new skills quickly and work with attention to detail
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and program execution skills
• Ability to manage work, time, and resources efficiently

Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain applications for our Equity Derivatives Technology Risk team
• Work on our multi-year transformation of the Equities Technology platform across execution, prime, clearing, and cross-product margining
• Re-engineer our technology estate to improve performance, resiliency, and modernized post-trade, clearing, and margin processes
• Collaborate with high-calibre engineers and business and product partners to define and deliver the next generation of Equities technology
• Conduct performance testing and profiling to ensure robustness and scalability for high-volume financial data processing
• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve code issues and performance bottlenecks
• Use script tools and code analysis to identify and define necessary system enhancements
• Take on assigned job responsibilities as required
