DevOps Engineer

Salary: £65,000 - 105,000 per year

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a DevOps Engineer operating production-grade infrastructure.
• Strong experience with Infrastructure as Code, such as Terraform or CloudFormation, and automated environment provisioning.
• Strong experience with containerisation and Kubernetes, including production operations and cluster management; EKS preferred.
• Experience building and operating CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions and deployment tools such as ArgoCD.
• Solid understanding of networking fundamentals, including VPCs, routing, load balancing, DNS, and firewalls.
• Experience implementing and operating secure systems, including IAM, secrets management, network security controls, and vulnerability management.
• Proficiency with at least one development language, such as bash, Python, or Go.
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.
• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
• Hands-on experience running and maintaining blockchain infrastructure, such as node deployment, syncing, upgrades, monitoring, and troubleshooting.
• Experience working within a crypto organisation.
• Experience in Financial Services.

Responsibilities:

• Build fault-tolerant, geographically distributed infrastructure, including support for multiple data centres with replication, sharding, auto balancing, and failover.
• Participate in deploying services with strict availability requirements in a large-scale environment and work with other engineers to ensure systems meet current and future demand.
• Develop and maintain code for automated infrastructure management using DevOps and Infrastructure as Code practices, including Ansible and Terraform.
• Work collaboratively with the Backend Engineering team to increase resilience through insightful systems and application metrics.
• Improve our CI/CD pipeline to provide new integration vectors.
• Build and maintain infrastructure for our fleet of blockchain nodes across more than 25 layer 1 protocols.
• Provide on-call support to ensure 24/7 availability of all systems.
