Linux Administrator

Salary: £40,000 - 55,000 per year

Requirements:

• Strong Linux administration experience, including physical and virtual environments
• Experience with Debian or Red Hat Linux distributions
• Networking knowledge
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Understanding of Linux security
• Knowledge of infrastructure automation tools such as Ansible, Landscape, Foreman or Satellite
• Experience with scripting or programming for administration and automation tasks
• Appreciation of secure-by-design and DevOps principles

Responsibilities:

• Support and develop Linux infrastructure and enterprise networking within a highly technical engineering environment
• Design, implement and support Linux systems across both corporate and secure environments
• Work closely with engineers, project teams and cyber security specialists
• Help deliver reliable, secure and scalable infrastructure for critical business and client projects
• Provide Linux and networking expertise across the business
• Support existing infrastructure
• Drive continuous improvement
• Contribute to the development of modern, secure infrastructure solutions
• Take ownership of a varied workload and help influence how Linux and network services are delivered across the organisation
