Job Description

Salary: £45,000 - 80,000 per year

Requirements:
  • We require excellent C/C++ programming skills with the ability to add significant new functionality and analyse and fix complex defects.
  • We prefer some knowledge of assembly and strong debugging skills.
  • We require demonstrated experience with software testing or software development.
  • We prefer expertise in application and low-level systems, with a strong understanding of system architecture, preferably ARM, OS fundamentals, bootloaders, and device drivers.
  • We prefer proficiency in Linux and Windows operating systems and driver development.
  • We require a good understanding of test methodologies, CI, and test automation.
  • We require strong interpersonal skills and excellent written and spoken English.
  • Nice to have: experience with Python programming and writing shell scripts.
  • Nice to have: basic understanding of the Linux kernel, system software and device drivers, and Android internals.
  • Nice to have: familiarity with open-source project development cycles and contribution processes.
  • Nice to have: experience with software profiling, instrumentation, and optimization.
  • Nice to have: verification and validation of firmware on pre-silicon platforms.
  • Nice to have: experience testing software using various techniques with awareness of the value of CI and automated test systems.
  • Nice to have: experience with Security Development Lifecycle practices.
  • Nice to have: familiarity and flexibility with various software development lifecycle methods, including Agile.
Responsibilities:
  • We are actively involved in the software design and test of reference application processor firmware.
  • We develop low-level software, test, and debug across various platforms, including software models, development boards, and shipping products.
  • We create software stacks for our reference platforms for future Arm devices.
  • We develop test code.
  • We create automation solutions to streamline and minimize manual testing and development tasks.
  • We analyse industry specifications and roadmap requirements, break down tasks, and help implement project plans.
  • We contribute to upstreaming and maintenance.
