Technical Architect

Salary: £55,000 - 95,000 per year

Requirements:

• We require you to be eligible for Security Clearance if you are not already cleared.
• We are looking for proven experience as a Technical Architect, Solution Architect, or in a similar role.
• We need a strong software development background with hands-on coding experience in technologies such as Java, .NET, Python, or a relevant tech stack.
• We need demonstrated experience managing and leading development teams effectively.
• We require a deep understanding of programme and project management principles and the project lifecycle.
• We value excellent interpersonal and relationship-building skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders.
• We are looking for strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• We value familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP, and modern architecture patterns including microservices, APIs, and event-driven design.
• We require experience with Agile methodologies and DevOps practices.

Responsibilities:

• We architect and design scalable, robust, and secure technical solutions aligned with business goals.
• We lead and manage development teams, ensuring best practices in software development, quality, and delivery.
• We collaborate with stakeholders, business analysts, product owners, and cross-functional teams to understand requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
• We provide holistic oversight and governance across multiple programmes and projects, ensuring consistency and alignment with enterprise architecture.
• We act as technical mentors and coaches for development teams, fostering a collaborative and productive environment.
• We stay hands-on by actively participating in software development, coding, code reviews, and troubleshooting.
• We build and maintain strong relationships across technical and non-technical teams to ensure smooth delivery and adoption of solutions.
• We drive continuous improvement in architecture, development processes, and delivery methodologies.
• We ensure solutions comply with security, compliance, and performance standards.
