Analytics Engineer

Salary: £59,000 - 91,000 per year

Requirements:

• We need 4+ years in a data role, such as Analytics Engineering and/or Data Science.
• We need strong SQL skills and experience working with large, complex datasets in dbt.
• We need strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• We need experience with modern BI tools such as Looker or Mode and the ability to enable real self-serve analytics.
• We need a detail-oriented, pragmatic mindset with a no-task-too-small attitude.
• Candidates must have the right to work in the UK, UAE, or US.
• Experience in a high-pace startup or scale-up environment is a plus.
• Experience with Python and/or R is a plus.
• Experience leading cross-functional projects or projects involving big data is a plus.

Responsibilities:

• We own dbt models end-to-end, including design, build, maintenance, tests, documentation, and schema coverage.
• We lead high-priority, cross-functional data projects that span Finance, Compliance, Product, and Markets.
• We partner with teams across the business to ensure their domains are modelled correctly.
• We support business-critical Finance and Compliance reporting, including month-end close and audit requests.
• We build pipelines that make reporting cycles faster.
• We keep data trustworthy by building tests, checks, and alerts that surface issues early.
• We use AI tools and agents across the modelling lifecycle to accelerate dbt development and improve data quality.
• We contribute to our analytics community by peer-reviewing code, sharing knowledge, and helping answer data questions.
