Cyber Security Engineer/Specialist

Salary: £80,000 - 80,000 per year

Requirements:

• At least 5 years experience in cybersecurity, information security, or a closely related field
• Experience working with recognised security frameworks, including Cyber Essentials and CIS Benchmarks
• Good understanding of NIST and ISO27001 principles and controls
• Experience supporting security operations within complex technology environments
• Recognised cybersecurity qualification such as CISSP, CISM, CEH, or GIAC; equivalent certifications will also be considered
• Experience with technologies such as Qualys, Splunk, SolarWinds, Kubernetes, PowerShell, Python, Windows Server, Linux, New Relic, HashiCorp, Zerto, and Jira would be advantageous

Responsibilities:

• Monitor, assess, and respond to cyber risks across our technology estate
• Work closely with technology, infrastructure, and risk stakeholders to maintain effective security controls
• Support incident readiness activities
• Contribute to the ongoing development of our cybersecurity strategy
• Protect critical systems and safeguard sensitive information
• Strengthen defences against an evolving threat landscape
• Help ensure security controls remain effective across our organisation

This is a permanent, hybrid role based in Surrey, with 2–3 days per week onsite, offering a salary of up to £80,000 plus benefits.
