Contract Systems Engineer - Rail

Salary: £83,200 - 93,600 per year

Requirements:

• Proven systems engineering experience within a complex engineering environment
• Experience supporting technical bids, tenders, or proposal activities
• Strong understanding of electronics, software, or integrated systems
• Ability to produce high-quality technical documentation and technical solutions
• Rail industry experience, ideally within infrastructure monitoring, signalling, telecoms, or related systems

• Develop bid strategies

We are a growing rail technology business based in the North East of England. This is an initial 6-month outside IR35 contract with 40-hour working weeks and hybrid flexibility available. The role supports major overhead line monitoring tenders for rail infrastructure projects across the UK, and the contract is suitable for candidates who wish to operate through their own PSC.
