Platform Engineer (DevOps)

Salary: £30,000 - 60,000 per year

Requirements:

• We require candidates to be eligible for BPSS and SC Security Clearance, including 5 years of continuous UK address history.
• We are looking for strong AWS experience and knowledge of core cloud services.
• We need hands-on Kubernetes experience in production environments.
• We are looking for experience with Infrastructure as Code using AWS CDK and Terraform.
• We expect experience developing CI/CD pipelines and automation.
• We are seeking familiarity with DevOps tooling and best practices.
• We value experience with Jira, Confluence, and Bitbucket.
• We prefer experience working within Agile delivery teams.
• We require willingness to travel to client sites across the UK on an ad hoc basis.
• We are unable to offer sponsorship for this position.

Responsibilities:

• We design, build, and support cloud-native platforms on AWS.
• We develop Infrastructure as Code using AWS CDK and Terraform.
• We build and maintain CI/CD pipelines to improve deployment quality and speed.
• We manage Kubernetes environments in production.
• We drive DevOps best practices across development and operations teams.
• We work closely with software engineers to improve platform reliability, scalability, and security.
• We implement monitoring, observability, and automation to improve system resilience.
• We contribute to technical communities, knowledge sharing, and engineering best practice.
• We use modern AI-assisted engineering tools such as GitHub Copilot and similar technologies to improve delivery efficiency and code quality.
