Lead C# Developer .Net - FinTech

Salary: £100,000 - 100,000 per year

Requirements:

• Expertise with C# .NET Core backend software development on large, scalable systems with complexity
• Strong technical leadership experience, taking ownership of features rather than managing people
• Collaborative and pragmatic approach, with the ability to push back and influence senior engineers
• Strong knowledge of clean, reusable, and maintainable code and modern Microsoft software engineering best practices
• Good knowledge of event-driven architecture
• Thorough understanding of computer science fundamentals, including OOP, data structures, design patterns, and algorithms
• Good understanding of CI/CD and Infrastructure as Code (IaC)
• Appreciation of Azure, SaaS, PaaS, and microservices
• Degree educated in a relevant STEM discipline, such as Computer Science, with a good grasp of mathematics

Responsibilities:

• Manage three Agile teams of around ten experienced software engineers
• Work on our flagship desktop insurance platform that handles 4 billion requests per month
• Architect, design, and develop new features and enhancements
• Ensure high levels of security, reliability, maintainability, usability, and performance
• Collaborate with the Product Owner and other development teams on design and technical choices
• Provide technical ownership in an Agile environment that encourages close collaboration and continual improvement
