Security Architect - Corsham

Salary: £48,000 - 88,000 per year

Requirements:

• We require at least 5 years experience in Security Architecture or a related security assurance role.
• We require applied experience of Defence security standards, design assurance, and architectural governance.
• We require experience working within Defence environments or programmes.
• We require demonstrable experience supporting secure solution design and governance processes.
• We require candidates to hold either UKCSC Principal - Secure System Architecture, or two or more of TOGAF, MODAF, CCSP, and SABSA Practitioner.
• We require a strong understanding of secure architecture principles and governance.
• We require knowledge of Secure by Design methodologies.
• We require the ability to influence stakeholders and provide clear architectural direction.
• We require strong communication and collaboration skills.
• We require experience working within regulated or high-assurance environments.
• We require the ability to balance security requirements with operational and programme needs.

Responsibilities:

• We support the development, review, and approval of architecture documentation, including High-Level Designs and Low-Level Designs.
• We provide feedback and guidance to projects, programmes, and formal Architecture Governance Boards in accordance with SoR Requirement 29.
• We ensure consistent implementation of architecture processes aligned to Defence standards, approved architectural blueprints, and design patterns.
• We provide subject matter expertise into solution design activities, ensuring alignment with Secure by Design principles.
• We collaborate closely with Workstream Leads, Security Assurance Coordinators, Secure by Design Leads, and Risk Leads to maintain architectural coherence across programmes.
• We contribute to architectural governance and design assurance activities to reduce delivery risk and improve security outcomes.
• We support the adoption and application of Defence security standards and architectural governance frameworks.

We are seeking an experienced Security Architect to join us in a hybrid role based in Corsham, with 1 to 2 days per week onsite. This is a Defence-focused opportunity where you will help deliver secure, assured, and compliant architecture solutions, embedding security throughout solution development and delivery in line with Defence standards and Secure by Design principles.
