Описание вакансии

What we offer

  • Work in an international, agile team building autonomous robotic systems
  • Contribute to software that is tested on real robotic platforms and in the field
  • Gain hands-on experience with state-of-the-art technologies in robotics, autonomy, and multi-agent systems
  • Work closely with experienced robotics and embedded engineers
  • Take ownership of meaningful technical projects while receiving guidance from the team
  • Benefit from a steep learning curve and a collaborative engineering culture

Your mission

Join our robotics team working on autonomous systems that operate as coordinated, distributed agents in real-world environments.

As a Software Engineering Intern, you will contribute to the development and validation of our multi-UAV system, with a particular focus on software tooling, simulation, and system observability.

Depending on your background and the project, you may also contribute to areas such as SLAM, navigation, perception, planning, or multi-agent coordination. This is a hands-on internship where you will develop and test software, work with real robotic systems, and see how your work performs beyond simulation.

  • Develop data-driven dashboards and tools to monitor, analyze, and visualize system performance
  • Extend our simulation framework with KPIs, automated scenarios, and evaluation workflows
  • Analyze simulation and field-test data to identify issues and opportunities for improvement
  • Contribute to the core robotics stack in areas such as estimation, perception, planning, control, or mission execution
  • Collaborate closely with robotics, simulation, embedded, and domain experts
  • Gain practical experience developing and validating software for complex autonomous systems

Your profile

  • Currently pursuing or recently completed a Master's degree in Robotics, Computer Science, Autonomous Systems, Electrical Engineering, or a related field
  • Good programming skills in C++, ideally modern C++ (17/20)
  • Solid foundation in algorithms, data structures, and software engineering
  • Basic understanding of robotics concepts such as coordinate frames, sensor data, estimation, planning, or control
  • Comfortable working in Linux
  • Curious about complex roboticsystems and motivated to understand how things work beyond your individual component
  • Able to work independently on a defined technical problem while actively seeking feedback when needed
  • Genuine interest in autonomous systems, robotics, and defense technology

Nice to have

You do not need to bring all of these — experience from university projects, research, student teams, personal projects, or previous internships counts.

  • Experience with ROS or ROS 2
  • Experience with real robots, embedded systems, or hardware-in-the-loop setups
  • Exposure to SLAM, navigation, computer vision, estimation, filtering, planning, or control
  • Interest or experience in multi-agent systems, swarming, or distributed robotics
  • Experience working with LiDAR or camera data
  • Exposure to PX4 or ArduPilot
  • Experience with simulation frameworks such as Gazebo, Isaac Sim, or Unreal Engine
  • Experience with embedded platforms, GPUs, or networking
  • Exposure to machine learning methods

What else

  • Strong problem-solving mindset and willingness to learn
  • Structured and reliable way of working
  • Comfortable working in an environment where not every problem has a predefined solution
  • Collaborative and open to technical feedback
  • High ethical standards and disciplined workethic
  • Extra-curricular engineering projects, robotics competitions, research, or other technical achievements are a plus

The practical part

  • Duration: 3–6 months, full-time
  • Eligibility: NATO-aligned nationality or close ally citizenship is required
