Workday Functional Specialist

Salary: £100,000 - 100,000 per year

Requirements:

• We are looking for an experienced Workday Financials professional.
• We want someone who has owned and delivered projects from start to finish.
• We need a strong understanding of financial and accounting processes.
• We want experience working directly with finance stakeholders.
• We are looking for someone with both technical and functional knowledge.
• We expect the ability to handle and resolve day-to-day queries and issues.
• We need experience with basic configuration and debugging work.
• We value detailed knowledge in a couple of areas such as the Foundational Data Model (FDM), Worktags, financial accounting configuration, ledger configuration, book codes and account posting.
• We value experience with intercompany, allocations and currency translation.
• We value knowledge of accounts payable and banking fundamentals, including configuration, payment file generation and bank statement integration.
• We value understanding of composite and advanced reporting in Workday.
• We value experience with calculated fields, logical functions, complex CF creation and systematic debugging.
• We value knowledge of the Workday security model, including security groups, domain security and segment-based security.
• We value experience validating security in the build and using Enterprise Interface Builder (EIB).
• We value adaptability and the ability to build new use cases and learn new skills.

Responsibilities:

• We will have you join a newly created internal Workday Financials team as the lead functional expert.
• We will have you work alongside a highly motivated and professional team as we build out our internal Workday Financials capacity.
• We will have you deal with and resolve day-to-day queries and issues.
• We will have you take responsibility for basic configuration and debugging work.
• We will have you build new skills and approaches to new use cases.
• We will have you contribute to financials projects and support our Workday Financials environment.
