User Researcher

Salary: £45,000 - 45,000 per year

Requirements:

• Experience of user research or appropriate experience in other fields of research.
• Knowledge and experience of using a range of qualitative and quantitative research methods, selecting the most appropriate method depending on the requirements.
• Significant experience of planning and conducting research that considers the diversity of users, keeping in mind access needs and the ethical nature of research.
• Extensive experience and proven track record of generating new and useful insights for a project team to leverage, ensuring where relevant that the insights influence decisions.
• Good analytic skills and knowledge of research methodologies.

Responsibilities:

• Planning and designing research programmes that will inform inclusive, effective services.
• Independently running research projects from planning to sharing findings.
• Choosing the right qualitative and quantitative methods and generating clear insights.
• Translating insights into recommendations that support departmental goals.
• Working closely with product teams to build strong relationships and champion user-centred design.
• Testing broad concepts and detailed service elements to ensure research findings are clearly communicated and understood.
