User Experience Designer

Salary: £41,500 - 69,500 per year

Requirements:

• Bachelors degree in Interaction Design, Human-Computer Interaction, or a related field is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of user-centred design methods and tools.
• Proficiency in design software such as Figma.
• Excellent analytical, communication, and collaboration skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-driven environment.
• An active enhanced DV clearance is required before applying.
• Applicants must meet the relevant security and export control restrictions, including Baseline Personnel Security Standard and, for many roles, higher levels of National Security Vetting.

Responsibilities:

• Create user-friendly, innovative design solutions that address complex challenges.
• Develop and present design concepts through wireframes, prototypes, and visual presentations.
• Evaluate and improve existing digital products with a focus on usability, inclusivity, and accessibility.
• Conduct user research and testing to inform design decisions, including interviews, usability testing, and journey mapping.
• Lead and analyse usability testing, stakeholder interviews, and other user-centred design methods.
• Identify opportunities to improve the user experience and deliver business value.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and share knowledge while mentoring junior staff.
• Present design solutions to clients, backed by research and best practices.
• Advocate for user needs while aligning with business goals.
• Apply user-centred design methodologies across all phases of delivery, from research through to implementation.
