Technical Lead - Liverpool

Salary: £90,000 - 90,000 per year

Requirements:

• Strong commercial experience with Node.js and TypeScript
• Experience with React and Next.js
• Proven track record designing and delivering scalable software architectures
• Cloud experience across Azure, AWS or GCP
• Strong understanding of API design, integrations and distributed systems
• Experience providing technical leadership and mentoring engineers
• Passion for modern engineering practices and AI-assisted development
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
• Strong understanding of software architecture and engineering best practice

Responsibilities:

• Lead the design and delivery of scalable backend services, APIs, integrations and data flows
• Provide architectural guidance across the wider engineering team
• Remain hands-on with development while shaping the future of a modern, large-scale platform
• Work across the full stack, including modern frontend technologies and cloud infrastructure
• Collaborate with Product teams, stakeholders and fellow engineers
• Help establish engineering standards and influence development processes
• Drive adoption of AI-assisted development practices and spec-driven development approaches
• Provide technical mentorship across the team
• Influence technology decisions and long-term platform strategy
