Job Description

Salary: £60,000 - 60,000 per year

Requirements:
  • 3-5 years experience working as a Business Analyst, preferably within manufacturing, logistics, supply chain or another operational environment.
  • Experience supporting, managing or coordinating technology delivery projects.
  • Strong technical understanding, including system architecture, databases and data structures, APIs and system integration, technical feasibility, software development lifecycle (SDLC), change methodologies, user stories and acceptance criteria, and working effectively with software development teams.
  • Experience producing detailed functional and technical documentation, including process flows and other techniques used to accurately capture current and future solutions.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a data-driven mindset and creative approach to solving business problems.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
  • A systems-thinking mindset, with the ability to understand how processes, systems, people and events interact and how changes in one area can impact the wider organisation.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills and the ability to build effective relationships at all levels.
  • Experience using documentation and collaboration tools such as Confluence, Jira, Visio, Microsoft Word and PowerPoint.
  • Strong organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and coordinate delivery across different teams.
  • Desirable experience working with ERP or MIS systems, particularly within manufacturing or print.
  • Understanding of production planning, warehouse management or automated fulfilment systems.
  • Strong SQL skills for extracting, validating and analysing data.
  • Experience with business process modelling and continuous improvement methodologies such as Lean or Six Sigma.
  • Familiarity with programming technologies such as C#, VB and .NET.
  • Knowledge of EDI, XML/JSON and integration middleware.
  • Experience working with Microsoft Dynamics or similar modern ERP platforms.
  • Exposure to cloud-based technologies and digital transformation programmes.
Responsibilities:
  • Work collaboratively with stakeholders across production, logistics, sales and IT to understand current processes, gather and analyse requirements, and develop effective future-state solutions.
  • Analyse As Is and To Be processes, identifying gaps, inefficiencies and opportunities for improvement.
  • Coordinate project activities across business and technical teams to support successful delivery of system and process improvements.
  • Support change management processes and user adoption activities during system implementations and transformation programmes.
  • Support the prioritisation of requirements and development of delivery roadmaps aligned to business objectives.
  • Evaluate and optimise end-to-end workflows across print production and order fulfilment.
  • Apply a range of Business Analysis techniques, including data manipulation and analysis, gap and trend analysis, data mapping, process modelling and diagramming, and requirements analysis.
  • Translate business problems and user needs into clear, actionable functional and technical specifications for development teams.
  • Create user stories, use cases, acceptance criteria and process flow diagrams to support project delivery.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders across both business and technical teams.
  • Work closely with internal IT teams and external software providers to improve and integrate key systems, including MIS/ERP, scheduling and inventory management platforms.
  • Support software validation by developing test cases and participating in system testing, user acceptance testing, validation and troubleshooting.
  • Support implementation activities and help resolve technical and process-related challenges.
  • Maintain comprehensive functional and technical documentation to support development, implementation, knowledge transfer and future reference.
  • Support project planning, track timelines and facilitate communication between business and technical teams to ensure successful outcomes.

This Technical Business Analyst / PM role is based in Swindon with a hybrid working arrangement and offers a salary of £60k.
