Software Engineer ERP/MES

Salary: £40,000 - 40,000 per year

Requirements:

• HNC or above in Computer Science, IT, Maths, Manufacturing, or a related discipline
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to build relationships locally and internationally
• Experience within the engineering or manufacturing industry, liaising with warehouse and production teams
• Participation in at least one successful ERP implementation, preferably INFOR LN within a manufacturing, engineering, or factory-based business
• Project management skills with a history of successfully overseeing business system implementation and upgrades
• SQL skills and experience

Responsibilities:

• We manage and optimise our business ERP system as a key user / power user
• We analyse and translate business requirements into ERP system configurations and specifications
• We collaborate with Group IT and Digital Transformation on ERP configuration and customisation to ensure alignment with our business needs
• We lead and develop training programmes for key users and end users on legacy and new business systems and functionality, including ERP Cloud
• We attend Group ERP training and conferences as a key user / power user
• We provide ongoing support and troubleshooting to users and offer solutions to maximise efficiency
• We support key users in end-user training sessions
• We manage the maintenance of our existing ERP system and future migration to ERP Cloud
• We enter new parts into the ERP system and determine product type, including purchased, manufactured, subcontracted, or cost items, and complete BoMs, routings, and rates
• We update Bills of Material and the Product Configurator matrix for generic and manufactured products as required
• We plan, maintain, and troubleshoot daily ERP usage across logistics, warehousing, production, and production planning
• We update the ERP system with sales price book information and revisions
• We approve engineering drawings using our engineering drawing control system and update the ERP system accordingly
• We execute system upgrades in line with local and Group IT requirements
• We lead local systems and application testing in collaboration with Group IT and Digital Transformation to support a clean go-live implementation
• We support data management, governance, process optimisation, cross-functional collaboration, and strategic planning
